4. Jackie Robinson Ballpark
Built in 1914 and still hosting professional baseball today, Jackie Robinson Ballpark on City Island in the Halifax River is one of the oldest professional stadiums still in active use in the United States. In 1946, Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in professional baseball here — taking the field for the Montreal Royals in the first integrated professional baseball game in the South. It is a genuine piece of American history sitting quietly in the middle of downtown Daytona Beach.
