You invested in the patio. The lanai. The view.
But somehow, you're not the one enjoying it.
Delray Beach has called itself the "Village by the Sea" since its earliest days, and that same closeness to the water is what makes outdoor living here so appealing — and so demanding. Salt air off the Intracoastal ages furniture fast, humidity holds through most of the year, and hurricane season doesn't skip a beach town just because Atlantic Avenue is lined with palm trees.
Mother Nature has taken over your outdoor space. And every month you don't act, you're paying for square footage you can't use.
It doesn't have to be this way. One button changes everything.

Other than build great outdoor projects here is what we love most about Delray Beach. Here are five fun facts about Delray Beach:
1. From Linton to Delray: The town was first named Linton after the Michigan congressman who settled it in 1894, but a devastating freeze in 1898 drove him out, and residents renamed it Delray around 1900 after a Detroit neighborhood some had called home.
2. Two Communities, One Founding: Delray Beach's earliest residents were Black farming families from the Florida Panhandle who settled the area starting in 1884, a full decade before William Linton arrived — a founding history the city still honors today.
3. A Farmer Who Gave It All Away: George Morikami, the last member of the Yamato Colony's Japanese farming settlement, donated nearly 200 acres of his land to Palm Beach County in 1973, creating the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens.
4. All-America City, Twice Over: Delray Beach won the National Civic League's All-America City Award in both 1993 and 2001, a distinction that recognizes standout civic engagement.
5. A Village by the Sea: That's the city's official motto, backed up by a downtown Atlantic Avenue that's been repeatedly ranked among the best small-city main streets in the country.
Delray Beach homeowners take their properties seriously — whether it's a historic bungalow near downtown or a newer property along the Intracoastal. Palm Beach County's coastal communities face hurricane season directly, and protecting an outdoor space here means understanding salt air corrosion, direct storm exposure, and the materials that actually hold up steps from the beach.
FL Outdoor News covers all of it — practical guides written for Florida homeowners by the team that installs these systems in Palm Beach County every week.
