No other city in Flagler County, and few in all of Florida, have anything like it. It is what makes a Palm Coast backyard genuinely different from a backyard anywhere else — and exactly why protecting that outdoor space from the insects, humidity, and weather that come with canal-front living matters so much.

2. Hammock Beach Resort — World-Class Golf on the Atlantic
The Hammock Beach Ocean Course is consistently ranked among the top resort golf courses in Florida — a Tom Watson-designed oceanfront layout with holes directly above the Atlantic that draws players from around the country. The broader Hammock Beach community, with its luxury homes and resort amenities, represents the high end of what Palm Coast delivers. It is the kind of community that makes people realize this stretch of Flagler County is more than a pass-through between Daytona and St. Augustine.

3. 125 Miles of Trails
Palm Coast has built one of the most extensive urban trail systems in Florida — more than 125 miles of connected walking and biking paths running through its neighborhoods, parks, and natural areas. For a city incorporated only in 1999, that is a remarkable infrastructure achievement. Residents use the trail system the way other Florida cities use their parks — as a daily outdoor lifestyle resource that defines how the community functions.

4. Princess Place Preserve
One of Flagler County's hidden treasures, Princess Place Preserve is a 1,500-acre coastal reserve protecting some of the most pristine Florida wilderness in the northeast part of the state. The lodge on the property — built in 1886 — is the oldest structure still standing in Flagler County. Kayaking through the preserve's tidal creeks, spotting wildlife in the salt marshes, and hiking through old-growth hammock trails are the kind of experiences Palm Coast residents have access to on an ordinary weekend.

5. One of Florida's Fastest-Growing Cities
Palm Coast has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Florida for over a decade — and for good reason. Affordable coastal living, canal-front homes at prices well below what comparable properties cost in South Florida, proximity to both St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, and a quality of life that draws retirees, families, and remote workers in equal measure. The city that ITT Corporation planned in the Florida scrub fifty years ago has become something genuinely significant. And it is still growing.
